October 23, 2015
Volunteers from Leeds Mencap visited MAECare on Wednesday 21st October to run a tablet computer training session. Mencap’s Young Ambassadors led the training and supported the participants to learn new skills such as how to browse the internet, download apps and shop online.

Louise said “I learnt how to use my tablet and really enjoyed the session” and Mencap Young Ambassador Jack Harris said “It was really good fun!”
Mencap’s Young Ambassadors are young people aged 16-25 who participate in volunteering opportunities and plan projects in the local community to raise awareness about learning disabilities.
