Travelling Pantomime: Oliver!December 12, 2014
The Northeast Producers have once again treated us to their talents and creativity with a Christmas pantomime! Last year it was A Christmas Carol; this year it’s Oliver! Using a fully mobile set and a lot of quick costume changes, Northeast is able to bring all the entertainment of a traditional panto with the work of just two very talented performers.
Caption: Why go to the panto when the panto can come to you?
About forty of our members came along to Alwoodley Park Methodist Church for some mince pies and to watch the show. In traditional fashion the troupe really got the audience involved, drawing us into the story of Oliver Twist, and wrapping up with a carol sing-a-long. It was a great way to kick off the Christmas season and got us all in a festive mood!
“Please, Sir… can I have some more?”
