Pancake Day
February 27, 2015As part of our 20/20 Project (20 New Things for 20 Years of MAECare), a team of fabulous Leeds University students treated us to a great Pancake Day celebration at Treetops. The Global Community group, a team of international students who foster cultural exchanges and community building, fundraised and planned the entire event, treating about 30 MAECare members to a truly memorable day.

The students made pancakes from around the world: potato pancakes from Eastern Europe, parathas from India, fluffy banana pancakes from the United States, and traditional English pancakes as well. They were accompanied by different types of teas and we finished the day with “Round the World Bingo”.
The event was very well organised and all of the students did a fantastic job. We hope it will become an annual event!
