Our Seaside outing
July 6, 2018Southport was our destination on the 3rd July and with the current heatwave there were no worries about the weather.

Everyone had a different memory of going to Southport and most people thought that Lord Street was just as the remembered it. Some people had forgotten that it’s quite a long walk to see the sea!

One member was delighted to find a traditional café with beautiful silver teapots and an excellent afternoon tea. An in intrepid group made it to the end of the pier, but were glad they could get the road train to take them there and back.
