Harvest Fruits at MAECare
September 28, 2018We are embracing the changing seasons at MAECare – with food! Thursday Club enjoyed sampling harvest fruits.

Catherine and Petra, Student Dieticians, also served up delicious Butternut Squash soup as well as doing a challenging Hӕrfest (that’s Old English for Autumn) quiz; who knew that brewed ginger beer originated in Yorkshire?

A Cake Stall raised nearly £100 and offered an array of sweet treats including home baked coffee and walnut and Victoria sponge cakes, gluten-free bakes, scones (still warm from the oven) and a trio of lemon drizzle cakes
Jars of homemade jam were also quickly snapped up. Thanks to everyone who baked and cooked for us; we’re now planning for a “Stocking Filler” event to be held on 29th November…
