Fairburn IngsAugust 18, 2017
The Social Strollers enjoyed a walk at Fairburn Ings in glorious sunshine. The RSPB park offers the opportunity to observe the delightful, grassland, marshes and woodland alongside the wildflowers, birds, insects and frogs. It offers a variety of trails for different abilities, some of the group completed the 2 mile Riverbank trail whilst the rest walked the flatter discovery trail. The group visited the Kingfisher hide but were not lucky enough to see one, they watched young children pond dipping whilst others saw herons from their picturesque panoramic view of the area. All rewarded with a cup of tea and cake.
