Christmas at Castle HowardDecember 2, 2016
MAECare members spent a very enjoyable day at Castle Howard on 30th November. The rooms in the magnificent house had all been made up for the Christmas season with trees (some of them huge!) candles and opulent decorations.
Upstairs was a delightful large model of Castle Howard in Gingerbread, with a train wending its way through the grounds. Downstairs, a string quartet was playing seasonal music under a suspended Christmas tree.
The more adventurous took advantage of the clear, dry day for a bracing walk in the extensive grounds.
