Breezy Knees!

We visited Breezy Knees Gardens, near York, on a hot day in late July. Our transport for the day was a double-decker bus and we arrived in time for an early lunch.

Some of our party heard a short talk by the owner, Colin; it’s taken him 20 years to transform the windswept fields which give the Gardens their unusual name into 20 acres of themed landscaped areas with a few surprises!

Everyone was able to take the day at their own pace; some people relaxed in the shade near the café and others set off, illustrated maps in hand, to explore the rose and cottage gardens, borders and meadows.
