It’s time to wear our poppies – RemembranceNovember 10, 2017
Our Creative Writing Group has penned a series of meditations on “Remembrance”
It’s time to wear our poppies
It’s remembrance day once again
Poppies have grown in Flanders Field
And for many lifetimes will remain
Two World Wars will never be forgotten
Sacrifices were made for peace
Courage and bravery came to the fore
But how many will return to the lives which had ceased?
When will evil be overcome?
When will suffering be done?
