MAECare receives funding from Leeds Social Care, Area Committees, the Primary Care Trust and other sources, and is part of the Neighbourhood Network of projects which cover most parts of the city of Leeds.  A recently awarded grant from the Big Lottery will enable a healthy living project to be taken forward.

Competition for grants is currently very fierce and MAECare’s Sustainability Group – a sub-group of the Management Committee – is exploring alternative ways of securing resources to ensure that the work of the organisation can be maintained.  At the suggestion of some service-users and after much consultation, a Membership Subscription was introduced in April 2007.  MAECare also relies on donations and contributions from members and supporters.
